BECOME A TUTOR
Welcome to iTutorFriends! As a new online tutoring service, iTutorFriends is dedicated to empowering students through personalised education. Our mission is to make learning engaging and accessible for students. We're looking for passionate, skilled peer-to-peer educators to join us in this endeavour!
Requirements to Become a Tutor:
- Educational Qualification: minimum 86% grade in subjects you wish to tutor.
- Proficient in English: with verbal and written communication skills.
- Age/Grade Qualification: must be in grade 9-12 or at least 14-19 years old to be eligible.
- Technical Familiarity: with digital tools (Google Meet) for online teaching.
- Strong Internet Connection is required, as well as the following tools:
- a computer or laptop with an up-to-date operating system and a microphone, compatibility with the online tutoring platform, proficiency in digital tools, and a quiet, professional environment for conducting sessions.
- Tutors who have previously enrolled in iTutorFriends in Grade 12 and now graduated will be allowed to Tutor 1 extra year following graduation.
Compensation:
Competitive hourly wage based on qualifications and experience.
- Grade 8-10 tutors - $15 to $20 per hour
- Grade 11-12 tutors - $20 to $25 per hour
Grades You Can Tutor
- Tutors at iTutorFriends can teach students ranging from Grade 7 to Grade 12.
- Subjects You Can Tutor: you are only permitted to tutor subjects in which you have a verified grade that is over 86%.
Training and Development: We provide orientation videos to introduce you to iTutorFriends' platform and some teaching methodologies.
